►...located at 119 W Sabine Street.  The Paulers have enjoyed getting to visit with new customers and the very faithful Hobby Horse clientele.  Not only have they painted the outside of their building, but they have also added some new features to their outdoor patio entrance with furniture and fountains.  “We plan to offer the customers a great selection of gift ideas and will even wrap it in the traditional Hobby Horse fashion,” said Bonnie.  The store offers a bridal registry along with Author Court, Brighton, Mikasa, Lenox, Wedgewood and much, much more.  Their newest item is called ‘Switch Flops’ which are the hottest item on the market this spring.  They are designer flip flops with interchangeable straps.  Stop by and visit with them Monday – Friday, 10-5 and Saturday 10-1.  Click here to see the new look.    [back]

►...Goodwin Roofing from Center, Texas was contracted by the Carthage Main Street Design Committee to make the needed repairs to this beautiful, historic house which is home to the Panola County Chamber of Commerce.  Goodwin Roofing has repaired the portions of flat roof, leveled the house, stripped the paint down to the wood, repaired any rotted wood, caulked and painted the entire house.  This project was funded by hotel/motel taxes and the City of Carthage.  It is projected to be completed by July 30^th, but it is ahead of schedule and will probably be completed by June 30^th or shortly thereafter.  Click here to see work in progress.   Getting a new paint job.     [back]
