Friday-Campers leave at noon and come back at 6pm for red carpet premiere of their movie.

Carthage Main Street and The Country Music Hayride, Inc. will host their fourth annual Film Camp Monday, June 10-Friday, June 14, 2024 for students who will be going into the 3^rd-8^th grade for the 2024-2025 school year.

Film Camp is designed to give children the opportunity to work and perform with professionals in filmmaking including writing, producing, directing, production design, art direction, costume design, cinematography, video editing, and of course acting for film.  Campers can choose either “Production” or “Acting”.  This camp culminates in a red-carpet premiere of their film for families and the community.  Development, pre-production, production and post-production will be at The Texas Country Music Hall of Fame Monday, June 10 – Thursday, June 13, with a red-carpet premiere at the Esquire Theater on Friday, June 14.  Guest filmmakers and other speakers are to be announced. 

Does your child see stories as moving pictures? Do they take videos with your phone? Do they love to act out what they see on TV and in movies?  If so, then Film Camp is the place for them!

In Film Camp, kids choose either Production or Acting but all campers will work together to create their film from script to screen.
